Reading the comments about the attacks in Moscow. Given that the US exercising its “duty to warn” notified the Russians of indications of a pending attack, I think it less likely that Putin’s government was behind it — at least, this time.
I’m not always a fan of NPR, but here’s a link that is pretty interesting on why ISIS terrorists were behind the attack in Moscow. It makes a lot of sense to me.
Spring break this week (technically Easter break). half my regular meetings cancelled, but i gotta grade today.
I brought my youngest home Friday afternoon. He bought a pair of slides, that look like a fish on each foot (a largemouth bass). Proof he is my son?
I visited Pam's parents yesterday. Janet has an eye infection, so she's taking prednisone for it. I told her she'll get DQ'ed from the G-Ma Olympics for illegal doping. She grinned. We are awaiting word from the Doctor visit this morning, her White cell counts/T-Cells suggest leukemia (What Pam had). All in all she's handling it well. She'd rather not have it, but she isn't scared or worried, just accepting it.
On my way home. I drove past Walnut Ridge, I fear the squirrels ate the daffodil bulb I planted in fall 2022; it bloomed last year but not this year.
Who is behind it? FWIW&IMHO (from least to most likely)
a) The US (CIA): I don't think we're that competent at terrorism
b) Ukraine: Kinda busy fighting an existential threat for survival. Had the terrorists attacked Putin directly, I could buy it. Random civilians, nahhh
c) ISIS: They like terrorism, but so does most every Iranian-backed nogoodnik group out there. But Iran is currying favor with Russia, so that's biting the hand that feeds them.
That’s an interesting theory, but what do you say about the warnings from the U.S.? Maybe I’m getting confused, but I’m assuming you’re talking about the most recent bombings in that large theater.
Good morning. On one hand, I find it reasonable that Putin is behind the mass murder last week. On the other hand, I find it reasonable that some iteration of the Islamic State is.

Good evening. Today the mothership reported that, over the weekend, Congress finally got around to funding the government.

d) Inside job: Well, there is a precedent for it.

Manul!
Yeah, the speed of finding the white van was amazing. Also, they found the gunmen pretty darn quickly as well.
