TMD this morning: “The Kremlin and the Dirty Bomb”
By Declan Garvey and Esther Eaton
Other Dispatch news:
There was a late reply yesterday from Ryan Brown, Community Manager at The Dispatch, regarding the new website. He said they appreciated the feedback and were taking the suggestions to heart. He also reiterated that they are “close to announcing an update to the comments section,” as was also heard from Declan Garvey near the end of last night’s Dispatch Live. Declan specifically mentioned collapsable threads, to name one thing that springs to mind this morning.
If they come through relatively soon, the experience should be a lot closer to the one many of us came to appreciate here.
One item mentioned in the critique was the second homepage segment having little logic to it, and there being a general lack of direct access to the newsletters. Lo and behold, this morning the second segment is now “Latest Newsletters.”
In sum, they do seem to be working on the issues in the background, and they are trying to improve the user experience. It just turned out to be more of a slog than originally presumed.
Over the horizon, around the corner. Is that anything like over the river and through the woods?
While I was waiting for my flu shot, this thought came to me. Should we invite the TMD staff to join us here?
a) yes
b) no
c) too subtle
