I wanted to share a lovely message from a woman I “met” on Facebook several years ago. I was following a dog groomer, and he posted a photo one of his clients took. I had just gotten back into photography, and commented on how wonderful the photo was, and wished I could do something like that. She saw what I had written, so she contacted me and we just started messaging about photography.
We’ve kept in touch for how many years now? I’ve forgotten. But, we’ve shared a lot. She posted something on Facebook this week, and I commented about how much I appreciated it because Richard is a Jew, and I have friends who are Jews (meaning mostly you guys). Then she messaged me:
I just wanted to tell you my heart is wrapping around yours and your husbands. I’ve been a devout Christian all of my life with the greatest respect and admiration for God’s Chosen people, the Jews. I was so blessed to go to a public high school that was 90% Jewish. I learned so much and those dear classmates continue to be cherished friends today. The standard joke was they didn’t have to come to school on my holidays but I had to go on theirs. In many of my classes, on a Jewish holiday, I might be the only one in the class. My brother and I went out of district to attend this school and we did so for the super high academics. That was totally because of the Jewish population demanding the best from the school system as well as their children. We were all serious students and it made for a very healthy environment. Attending that school was a huge blessing in my life, providing friends I continue to cherish.
Our hearts are with Israel as we’re all impacted by these atrocities. I’m so ready to hear those trumpets announcing the returning of Christ. We don’t know the timing but all that is occurring was prophesied in the Bible. 🙏🙏🙏
Please note: I know Richard and I are not suffering. We are fortunate, and I’m grateful that he is safe, and that we live here. But, I love him and my Jewish friends. I am bewildered and upset by some of the things I’ve read lately, and I’ve had to push back. I just want you all to know that there are more people who care and value Israel and Jews than who do not. I also hope I’m not coming off as though “I know how you feel!” I can’t, but I can imagine.
I updated the post just now with an image, a video, and the official appeal for support that Josh sent me--follow the link marked "Read ->" above.
Also: the video appears to have no audio--you're not having a stroke.

Re-update: The video should play now.
