As with most online and/or news-related postings, this, too, is assuredly pointless. But these X-cretions still manage to capture thoughts I agree with often enough.
For instance, with regard to our aimless Western foreign policy for dealing with our existential enemies:

As to the opening, the West has been terrible and Putin can only feel encouraged. Given that he doesn't care what price is paid so long as he wins, it's all going well for him as the West refuses to really stand up to him. Israel will not defeat Hamas but must take a stand against it. So, too, should the West in Ukraine. There is no defeating Putin as in forcing him out of office. However, there is a need to just not let him take over more of the world. He has learned what all bullies first learn. Hey, I tried this and got away with it so I can do it again and that works until someone stands up to the bully and Ukraine cannot do that alone; nor should they have to do so.
My first thought, at the beginning, was that the US should place our own USAF on the ground with instructions, issued publicly, to act solely in a defensive manner to protect the Ukrainian border. Draw the line and enforce it. Go no further, stay in Ukrainian air space, but defend it. Putin's gain is the world's loss and we could have stopped him cold. All the bully needs to know to change his plan is that the little guy is backed up by the big guys, a fight he truly does not want for it could cost him dearly.
My feet are feeling better! I walked the dogs this morning, they didn't hurt (my feet, IDK how the dogs felt).
