It was M. Trosino the other day who linked to Stevie Ray Vaughn. I was a big fan of SRV way back when. He is one of the few popular rock performers I’ve ever seen live. It was in Bonn, West Germany, at the Biskuithalle in 1986, the internet says.
He was a hot mess of addictions, but he was an incredible talent. He died in a helicopter accident in Wisconsin in 1990. He was only 35, and his untimely demise was completely unrelated to his bad habits.
